Common Error Scenarios and Troubleshooting Steps
ERROR SCENARIOS
Error Scenario #1 - "Error fetching retail IDs for package. Retail ID information incomplete in Metrc. Please update the Retail ID requirements for this package in Metrc and try again"
The above error occurs when there is incomplete Retail ID requirements for a product in the Metrc system. To resolve the error, please login to the Metrc platform and provide the required information that is missing from the product information. Once that has been updated, Sync your inventory in QRlogix Software, and you'll be able to print the Retail ID labels accordingly.
Error Scenario #2 - Template field and label is missing Metrc data.
In the case that a package is is loading in QRlogix Software, but data is missing from a form field and on the label, then the missing data needs to be added to that product in Metrc. To resolve the issue, please login to the Metrc platform and provide the required information that is missing from the product information. Once that has been updated, Sync your inventory in QRlogix Software, and you'll be able to print the Retail ID labels accordingly.
Error Scenario #3 - "Plugin not found for field type: MetrcApiField"
In this scenario, a required DLL file is missing. To resolve the issue, contact QRlogix Support. and let them know the Dll file is missing.
Error Scenario #4: Cannot access Metrc Retail ID labels.
To setup Metrc to allow Retail ID label generation, users must have “Manage” selected in their Product settings. To set this up, in the Metrc system select Admin, then select Employee, next click on Edit Employee, then select the Packages page, then Product Labels, and finally select the box next to Manage. You should now be able to generate labels from the Metrc platform.
Error Scenario #5 - When you print, the software sends the print jobs, but nothing prints out on the printer. There are many different variables that can prevent a printer from printing. A troubleshooting list follows:
- Validate that the printer is the default printer in QRlogix Software, and that there are no other printers assigned at the template level. You can find the default printer under the banner on the QRlogix dashboard.
- Confirm that the printer status is active (and not in error state or disconnected) in Control Panel.
- Send a test print from the printer driver in Control Panel. If the test print does not clear the print queue ("See what's printing") then there is likely an error with the printer driver setup. To resolve issue, troubleshoot the driver settings, or seek assistance from IT or the company that sold you the printer. They should have resources in place to troubleshoot and resolve your issue.
